At a party, a young woman is assaulted in the bathroom, and her assailant ends up dead. The girl leaves the ambulance before SVU can talk to her. Plot : Reporting to an attempted rape at a party, Detective Benson finds the victim has fled the scene of the crime. Oh, did I mention Joe hit the tub the attack took place in a bathroom when the victim, Cheryl, hit him with a vase? He died as a result of the injuries. Benson and Stabler find Cheryl and interview her. Later in the squad room, the detectives and ADA Cabot debate whether or not to charge Cheryl as the incident has a few question marks.

However, the case takes a shocking turn when they learn a startling secret about their victim. In the end, she was found guilty and was sent to Rikers before sentencing. She was however gang raped and rushed into emergency surgery. At a house party, a girl is yelling at her friend for inviting too many people.

Her parents disowned her when she came out, but she remained close to her younger sister. She had a boyfriend named Eddie, whose brother Joe knew Cheryl's secret. Joe wanted to tell Eddie, but Cheryl hit Joe in the head from behind with a vase, causing him to fall unconscious and begin bleeding. He died at the hospital. Cheryl never meant to kill him and lied to the police about injuring Joe in self-defense.
