Mike, Not sure where you are getting your info, because it is really off base. I was able to get licenses in the following stateswith a felony for grand larceny : Georgia, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Alaska, and Minnesota. My felony was 2 years prior to my first obtaining RN licensure and I was still on probation. Oh, and I've since gone back to school and now work for the Federal Government as an advanced practice nurse. Helpful hint: Be totally honest and thorough on all applications for licensure. If you don't include everything, they can deny a license saying that you didn't fully disclose something. Include letters of recommendation, etc.




Well, it says the BRN can't deny the license SOLELY on the grounds that the nurse was convicted of a misdemeanor or felony if that crime has.
